The Agreement I

When you took me by the hand,
Look me into my eyes,
And say you loved me,
I know, I'm hooked.

I took a glance at you
While the mayonnaise from your burger dripping
Your messy one day old stubble on your chin
You dark eyes looking at me
That's when I know
This is the man I want to grow old with.

It was a hot humid night,
It was pizza night ,
Two days after 'Raya',
You sat in your car,
While the air-cond blasting out cold air,

But neither of us are feeling it.

You started talking,
Jumbling,Mumbling,
You're a nervous wreck,
" Cut the chase " I said.

There and then,
You said it out loud,
An agreement for the unknown future,
An everlasting love.

I said yes.
Because I know,
Its worth unknowing.
